Another older lamp from Epson, and the older brother of the ELPLP34. The ELPLP38 lamp is used for projectors that pass the 10 year old mark. Surprisingly these projectors are still being sold today by a few retailers online. Projectors that use the ELPLP38, such as the PowerLite 1705c and PowerLite 1715c are of a basic nature in that they are both XGA with a native resolution of 1024 x 768. They have also collected some positive reviews from popular online retailers.
The Epson ELPLP38 lamp assembly that we use, like the ELPLP34 and ELPLP49 uses an Osram brand internal bulb rated at 170W and puts out a max lumens rating of 2700. This is not the OEM brand bulb which would be Epson in that we believe the Osram brand is more reliable and better performing. We have seen improved performance for the Osram in the ELPLP49, so we use it for other models as well. The ELPLP38 lamp is also known as V13H010L38.
